Gasadalur #2

The crazy cliffs of Gásadalur.

This was our first stop on our first really windy day. Can you believe that before 2006, this isolated village of 11 inhabitants was only accessible by foot, requiering to hike a huge moutain to reach it ?

As you can see, the shoreline is fairly high and steep, so even by boat this village was difficult to reach. Since then, a tunnel was build and it is now connected by road with the rest of Faroe Islands.
