Sary-Jaz Valley #1

This 3500m of elevation valley, close to the border with China, is called Sary-Jaz valley. It took me 7h hours of offroads driving, far away from any building, a 3800m of altitude pass, and two military checkpoints to get there.

On my way i encountered a few Kyrgyz nomads, living here completely by their own and their herds. They might ask you for some cigarettes or for some vodka tho.

The mountains you can see in the background are 5500m of altitude high, and behind those is China. I completely fell in love with the remotness, wilderness and the immensity of that place.
